Creality is expanding its Falcon range with the Falcon A1C, a compact desktop engraver presented as an ideal first laser for the home. Its main selling point is a tool-free mount compatible with three interchangeable laser modules, all inside a fully enclosed Class 1 chassis that Creality says does not require safety glasses during normal use. Prices were announced from $199 in the United States, with deliveries expected to begin between late July and August 2026 depending on the version and region. I have not tested it, so this is a look at what the Falcon A1C promises on paper.

A compact format with a reassuring enclosure

According to Creality’s official images, the Falcon A1C uses a compact, fully enclosed case available in two finishes: a white base version and a grey-purple model. Its engraving area measures 150 x 150 mm, while the motorised lifting platform provides a maximum working height of 148 mm. That is not a huge work area, but it should be enough for coasters, leather goods, small ornaments, phone cases and personalised gifts.

The whole design is clearly aimed at beginners. Creality advertises true autofocus: place the material inside, start the focusing process and the machine finds the correct height automatically. The enclosure is presented as Class 1, with flame detection, tilt protection and a USB safety lock. On paper, these features make it more suitable for a desk, classroom or small creative space than an open-frame laser.

Price and configurations

Creality announced a launch price starting at $199 in the United States for the white 5W base model. The white 10W configuration was listed at $299, while the grey-purple AI-camera versions started at $256 for 5W and $379 for 10W when the product was announced. Prices and delivery dates vary between regions, so the official local store remains the reference before ordering.

It is also important to understand what “three interchangeable modules” means. The A1C platform accepts 5W diode, 10W diode and 1.2W infrared heads, but buyers select a diode configuration and the infrared module is a separate accessory. Likewise, the AI camera belongs to the grey-purple chassis and is not included in the $199 white model.

Software and smart features

On the software side, Creality supplies Falcon Design Space, previously presented in some launch material as FDS Studio. It offers a simplified interface, real-time preview and control from Windows, macOS or a mobile device. Creality also advertises LightBurn compatibility for users who want more advanced control.

The camera-equipped versions add automatic positioning and material recognition. Creality also promotes AI-assisted tools for contour extraction, background removal, automatic filling and arranging several designs at once. Several points still need to be confirmed through independent testing: engraving quality from each module, real cutting performance, the reliability of the AI camera and the final price of a useful configuration once accessories are included. For a maker who wants to personalise small objects without dedicating a workshop to a large open-frame diode machine, the Falcon A1C looks promising. I hope to test one eventually and see whether it lives up to those claims.
