xTool is best known for desktop laser cutters and engravers, but the company is moving into a different kind of workshop with the xTool O1 Omni Printer. This desktop machine combines UV printing for rigid objects with transfer workflows and, on the most complete edition, direct fabric printing. Following its preorder campaign, final payment and the global launch began on July 16, 2026, with the first shipments scheduled for early August. Prices now start at $1,699, so we can assess a much more concrete proposition than the one shown during the initial teaser campaign.
The idea behind the O1 Omni is simple but ambitious: replace several specialised machines with one integrated platform. xTool describes it as a four-in-one system covering UV, UV DTF, DTG and DTF workflows. That full combination applies to the UV + DT Fabric edition; the lower-priced UV models are intended primarily for rigid and transfer applications.

One platform for rigid objects, transfers and fabric
Versatility is the main attraction. Depending on the chosen edition, the O1 Omni can decorate acrylic, wood, glass, metal, leather and canvas, then create water-resistant UV DTF transfers for curved or irregular objects. The UV + DT Fabric model adds direct and transfer printing for compatible cotton and polyester garments.
xTool also advertises lenticular images that change with the viewing angle, raised textures of up to 7 mm according to the manufacturer, fluorescent colors and foil-like finishes. These are valuable creative options, but buyers should treat the maximum relief figure as an application-dependent claim rather than a guaranteed result on every design and material.

The automated maintenance system matters as much as raw resolution. White UV ink is prone to settling, and a machine aimed at small businesses has to survive periods of inactivity without turning every restart into a service job. xTool’s claims are encouraging, but long-term independent testing will be needed to judge ink consumption and printhead reliability.

Price and editions
There are three versions. The Single UV edition starts at an early-bird price of $1,699, against a listed MSRP of $2,499. The Dual UV edition is $2,699 early bird or $3,299 MSRP. The complete UV + DT Fabric model is $2,799 early bird or $3,499 MSRP. Regional stores display their own prices and bundles, so the final cost should be checked locally before ordering.
This pricing makes the O1 Omni considerably more expensive than an ordinary hobby printer, but its comparison set is different. A personalization shop would otherwise need separate hardware for rigid UV work and fabric production. The real calculation therefore depends on ink costs, maintenance, throughput and how often each workflow will actually be used.
Software and ecosystem
The O1 Omni is controlled through xTool Studio on macOS and Windows. The software includes AI-assisted background removal, live previews and material presets intended to shorten the path from artwork to output. Pixel-Scan maps objects directly on the bed, while a 3D preview helps position designs on mugs with the rotary accessory. xTool has also announced a desktop 3D embroidery workflow, further extending the machine’s role in a small personalization business.
The broader ecosystem includes the Atomm creative platform and integration with several xTool laser machines. That can be useful when a project combines cutting, engraving and color printing, although the value of the ecosystem depends on how well these tools exchange files and settings in real production.





Is the xTool O1 Omni worth considering?
The O1 Omni is one of the more unusual desktop production machines of 2026. It brings rigid-object UV printing, transfers and optional fabric printing into a relatively compact enclosure, with a vision system and maintenance automation that could remove several tedious setup steps. For a maker business producing customized objects and apparel, that breadth is genuinely attractive.
There are good reasons to remain cautious. Tom’s Hardware saw impressive demonstrations but also observed a few early false starts involving workpiece and printhead clearance. Ink cost, long-term head reliability and consistent results across very different materials remain unanswered questions. At this price, I would wait for full independent production tests before treating it as the centre of a business. The concept is compelling; the next step is proving that all four workflows are equally dependable outside xTool’s demonstrations.
