Fiido T3 and T3 Max: cargo e-bikes that can power camping gear

This post is also available in: Français

The Fiido T3 Max is a longtail electric cargo bike with a 250W mid-drive motor, 100 Nm of torque and a rated 200 kg total payload. Its most unusual option combines a 648Wh main battery with a removable 972Wh pack that can feed an 800W inverter, allowing the bike to power selected tools or camping equipment.

Fiido also offers a shorter T3 for urban family use. Both target the European 25 km/h pedal-assist category, but the Max adds rack length, load capacity and the dual-battery power feature.

100 Nm mid-drive and cargo chassis

The motor drives through the bicycle’s gears, helping it move heavy loads on gradients more efficiently than a basic hub motor. A torque sensor adjusts assistance to pedal input, while four-piston hydraulic brakes are intended to manage the mass of bike, rider and cargo.

Fiido specifies up to 120 kg at the saddle and 80 kg on the long rear rack. The total 200 kg figure is not a licence to place that entire load anywhere. Child seats, rails and footboards must be compatible and installed within their own limits.

Dual batteries and 800W external output

The standard down-tube battery stores 648Wh. The dual-battery version adds a removable 972Wh unit for a total of 1,620Wh and a claimed 200 km range. The standard range is listed around 80 km on the current product page.

An 800W inverter can turn the second battery into a portable power source for a laptop, drone charger, lights or other compatible equipment. The 800W figure is output power, not battery capacity. Every watt-hour used at camp is one that cannot assist the return ride.

Price and launch status

Fiido lists the T3 Max at €2,299 with one battery and €2,999 in the dual-battery configuration. The short-tail T3 starts around €1,899. Shipping estimates remained long in some markets, and the official store still showed no customer reviews for the new model when checked.

T3’s launch coverage confirms the core specifications but is not a long-term ownership test. Buyers should therefore pay close attention to total assembled weight, local workshop support, cargo accessories and the warranty on all three electrical components: motor, battery system and inverter.

A useful idea, provided the basics are right

The portable-power feature is genuinely distinctive, but the T3 Max must first succeed as a cargo bicycle. Braking, frame stiffness, rack accessories and service access matter more than charging a drone.

In France, it remains a conventional electrically assisted bicycle only when pedalling is required, nominal power is 250W and assistance stops at 25 km/h. Carrying children or commercial loads also requires suitable seats, restraints and load distribution.

FAQ

How much does the Fiido T3 Max cost?
Fiido lists the single-battery T3 Max at €2,299 and the dual-battery model with 800W inverter at €2,999. The shorter T3 starts around €1,899.
What range does the T3 Max offer?
Fiido claims up to 80 km with the standard 648Wh battery and up to 200 km with the 1,620Wh dual-battery configuration. Cargo, hills and weather reduce real range.
Can the second battery power other devices?
Yes. The 972Wh removable secondary pack can connect to an optional or bundled 800W inverter for compatible AC devices, reducing the energy left for riding.
How much can the T3 Max carry?
Fiido specifies a 200 kg total payload, split between approximately 120 kg at the saddle and 80 kg on the rear rack. Accessories and child transport require correct installation.
