Longer returned to the FDM printer market on April 7, 2026 with the LK10 and larger LK10 Plus. The standard model is listed at $299.99 and combines a 225 x 225 x 265 mm build volume with a maximum speed of 500 mm/s, high-flow direct-drive extrusion and non-contact automatic bed leveling. It is a major specification upgrade over Longer’s older open Cartesian machines, although comprehensive independent testing remains limited.

The LK10 keeps the familiar moving-bed architecture rather than adopting a CoreXY enclosure. Most of the modernization is in the components: a Klipper-compatible control platform, motion sensors, eddy-current bed scanning, dual Z drive, a PEI plate and a 4.3-inch touchscreen. The LK10 Plus applies the same basic concept to a much larger 320 x 320 x 400 mm volume.

Price and model choice

Longer’s store listed the LK10 at $299.99, against a displayed regular price of $399.99, when this article was verified. The LK10 Plus was $419.99, against $549.99. Both pages described the machines as in stock, but availability, tax and delivery conditions vary by region.

The standard LK10 is the more sensible choice for ordinary desktop projects and should be easier to accelerate cleanly because its bed is smaller. The Plus makes sense when its extra 95 mm of width, 95 mm of depth and 135 mm of height will prevent models from being split. Buying the larger machine only for occasional small prints adds footprint and moving mass without using its main advantage.

Firmware and practical questions

The Klipper-compatible board is one of the LK10 series’ most interesting features. Klipper can provide input shaping, pressure advance, macros and network-based control, but manufacturers sometimes ship customized interfaces or firmware branches that do not expose every upstream function. Longer promotes the high-speed board and motion sensors, but buyers who want deep configuration access should verify the current firmware documentation and update policy.

Eddy-current leveling is similarly promising. It can gather a dense bed mesh quickly without repeatedly touching the plate. Its accuracy still depends on correct calibration, temperature compensation and the conductive build surface. The technology is capable, but it does not remove the need for sound mechanical alignment or a clean nozzle.

As of this update, detailed hands-on coverage from established independent 3D-printer reviewers is still scarce. Most available information traces back to Longer or to early overview articles. Claims about noise, sustained high-speed quality and large-bed consistency should therefore remain provisional until production machines accumulate more testing hours.
