The machine also claims 30,000 mm/min, a 5 MP camera, a 400 x 398 mm work area and FDA Class 1 certification. Listed at $1,099, it targets workshops and small production runs.
The X4 Pro chassis with a more powerful head
The X4 Pro-40W retains the black-and-orange panoramic enclosure of the 22 W version. Mecpow claims 15.4 kg. Its hood contains the work area, a fan guides fumes to the duct, and lighting helps visual checking. The 400 x 398 mm area remains suited to panels, boxes and batches of smaller objects. Automatic air assist delivers up to 30 l/min to cool the cut and limit scorching.

Two power levels in one module
40 W mode: the claimed spot is 0.1 x 0.15 mm. Mecpow claims one-pass cutting of 25 mm wood, two-pass cutting of 30 mm black acrylic and 0.15 mm stainless steel. These are manufacturer maximums dependent on material, air assist, focus and settings.
20 W mode: a switch reduces power to 20 W, with a claimed 0.08 x 0.1 mm spot. This should reduce line width and suit details or thin materials.
30,000 mm/min and 5 MP camera: the maximum speed can shorten large engravings but not thick cuts. The overhead camera aids framing and positioning; claimed tracking and autofocus functions need confirmation in supplied software.

Price, positioning and safety
The official product page lists the X4 Pro-40W at $1,099. The B40W module is sold separately, but converting an older X4 requires checking the power supply, firmware and overall compatibility. At this price it should be compared with competing enclosed diode machines and entry-level CO2 lasers, including extraction and accessories.
A Class 1 device can enclose a dangerous laser while the beam remains inaccessible under normal conditions. Never bypass the hood interlock or operate with panels removed. The announced certification should be verified on the delivered unit’s label and documentation. Fumes must be extracted outdoors; permanent supervision, a non-combustible surface and identified materials remain necessary.

The X4 Pro-40W combines expected modern features: high power, enclosure, camera, air assist and standard software. Its 20 W mode is useful for retaining detail.
