The Elegoo Jupiter 2 brings the company’s large-format resin range up to date with a 14-inch 16K LCD, a 302 x 162 x 300 mm build volume and more automation than the original Jupiter. At a stated list price of $949, it targets prop makers, miniature studios and small production teams that need capacity without moving to an industrial machine.
This is still an MSLA printer, so an entire layer is exposed at once through the LCD. The difference is scale: the plate can hold a large model or a dense batch of smaller parts, while the 20 x 26 micron claimed XY pixel size is intended to preserve fine detail across that larger area.

Large capacity without abandoning detail
The Jupiter 2’s 300 mm Z height suits tall figures and terrain. Its enclosed light source is designed to provide even exposure across the full panel, while four force sensors handle automatic levelling. A mechanical residue check is intended to stop cured fragments being pressed into the LCD during the first layers.
The heated vat keeps resin around 30 C. That can improve flow and consistency in a cold workshop, although the correct exposure settings still depend on the resin, ambient conditions and layer height. Large resin prints also generate significant peel forces, so supports and orientation remain important despite the automated calibration.
Automated resin handling and monitoring
A bidirectional pump connected to a 2 kg resin bottle can top up the vat and recover material. This is useful for long jobs that might otherwise empty a conventional bottle. The machine also provides low-level alerts, power-loss recovery, an internal camera, LED lighting and Wi-Fi monitoring.
These features reduce routine intervention, but they do not make resin printing hands-off. Uncured resin requires gloves, suitable ventilation and careful cleaning. A large build also needs an appropriately sized wash-and-cure workflow.

Price and early testing
Elegoo announced a $949 list price, with early offers below that figure and regional pricing of €899 and £799. Pricing should be checked at purchase because launch bundles and fulfilment dates vary by market.
Independent testing is now beginning to appear. GamesRadar used the Jupiter 2 for two weeks and praised its volume and print quality, while describing the overall experience as somewhat fussy. That qualification matters: a large vat, large plate and proprietary workflow demand more preparation and cleanup than a mid-size desktop resin printer.





Who is it for?
The Jupiter 2 makes the most sense when the extra plate area will be used regularly: large display pieces, cosplay parts, terrain or small-batch production. A user who mainly prints single miniatures may find a Saturn-class machine easier and cheaper to run.
Its aggressive sub-$1,000 positioning and automated resin system are attractive, but buyers should budget for resin, protective equipment, ventilation, washing capacity and replacement film. The Jupiter 2 is a capable large-format platform, not a shortcut around the realities of resin printing.
