The BLUETTI Elite 400 stores 3,840Wh and delivers 2,600W of continuous AC power from a wheeled 39 kg enclosure. A 15 ms UPS mode and European launch pricing around €1,899 position it between a portable camping battery and a fixed home-backup installation.
The integrated handle and wheels make nearly four kilowatt-hours easier to move, but they do not make the unit lightweight. It is designed to roll between rooms, vehicles or a campsite rather than be carried regularly.

3.84 kWh in a mobile enclosure
BLUETTI uses LiFePO4 cells in a 427 x 286 x 490 mm case. The user manual specifies approximately 39 kg, an important figure that is missing from many simple comparisons. Wheels and a telescoping-style handle improve movement on flat ground, while stairs remain a two-person task.
The 3,840Wh rating can keep refrigeration, lighting, communications and smaller appliances operating through an outage. Actual runtime depends on load and conversion losses. A nominal 3.84 kWh should never be treated as the exact energy delivered from the AC sockets.
2,600W output and non-expandable capacity
The inverter is rated at 2,600W continuously. Power Lifting mode reaches 3,900W for compatible resistive devices, but does not raise the continuous rating for motors or sensitive electronics.
Independent testing found the power delivery polished and the chassis practical, while identifying two limitations. Outlet count varies by market and can be modest for such a large station, and the Elite 400 does not accept expansion batteries. Buyers who may need more than 3.84 kWh should consider that before investing in the platform.
The current European page advertises support for up to seven connected devices. Earlier launch material mentioned higher counts in some configurations, so the regional port layout should be checked directly.

Charging and backup operation
The European unit accepts up to 2,300W from AC and 1,000W through its DC solar input. BLUETTI advertises 80 percent in roughly one hour when AC and solar are combined under suitable conditions. Solar performance depends on panel voltage, weather and installation.
The 15 ms UPS transfer is fast enough for many routers, computers and household devices. The Elite 400 remains an IP20 indoor product, so it needs protection from water and unsuitable temperatures. Connecting any portable station to household circuits requires appropriate transfer equipment and qualified electrical work.
BLUETTI’s app provides charge limits, scheduling and remote monitoring over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. These controls are useful for leaving the battery in standby, although critical backup plans should not rely solely on an app connection.




Who is the Elite 400 for?
The Elite 400 is compelling for mobile home backup, workshops and multi-day off-grid use when 3.84 kWh is enough. The wheeled design solves part of the handling problem, and the manual confirms strong AC and solar charging inputs.
Its fixed capacity is the main strategic limitation. A buyer expecting future expansion should choose a modular system, while someone who values an all-in-one battery with no extra boxes may prefer this simpler package.
