Phrozen continues to develop its flagship series and crosses the 16K threshold with the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K, a desktop resin printer announced in late 2025 at around $720 on its US store. The Mighty series has built a strong reputation among miniature painters and jewelry makers, and this version pushes resolution one step further while retaining a large build volume. On paper, it is the kind of machine that makes you want to revisit your most detailed files.
For context, the Mighty Revo already existed in a 14K version. Here, Phrozen keeps exactly the same chassis and philosophy, but changes the screen for a 16K panel and adds a few refinements designed for intensive use, in a workshop or at home. Let’s look at what the brand highlights.
A generous format in a sturdy chassis
Visually, the Revo 16K keeps the Mighty series design: an enclosed body, a lift-up cover that opens with one hand and a base designed to prevent resin leaks. Its build volume reaches 211.68 x 118.37 x 235 mm, which remains one of the largest in its category. The 235 mm height is a real advantage for printing one-piece busts, helmets or tall scenes without splitting them. Everything is built around an aerospace-grade 6000-series aluminium frame, with dual linear rails and a ball screw to keep the Z axis stable during long prints.
Announced technical specifications
Phrozen focuses its new features on resolution and reliability, two points that matter when printing very fine models or running consecutive jobs.
16K screen (14 x 19 µm): this is the major change. The 10.1-inch mono LCD panel displays 15,120 x 6,230 pixels, with a pixel size about 36 percent smaller than the 14K version. The expected result is sharper wing textures, facial expressions and armour engravings, with less post-processing.
30 C chamber heating: an integrated heater reaches 30 C in about 30 minutes and maintains that temperature during printing. In theory, this reduces cold-related failures, when resin thickens and adheres less effectively, which is a real advantage for unheated workshops.
Dual error detection: the machine monitors the presence of a foreign object on the screen from 4 mm and stops the print to protect the film. It also raises an alert if peel force remains at zero for 15 layers, a sign that a part has detached.
Assisted levelling: calibration is intended to be almost automatic out of the box, with a first print promised in about ten minutes from unboxing.
Phrozen GO app: it lets you monitor prints remotely from a phone, with real-time status, failure alerts and time-lapse capture. It can also manage several machines from the same dashboard, which is useful for a small print farm.

Price and options
On price, the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K is announced at around $720 on Phrozen’s US store, and close to $800 on the global store at launch. The positioning remains coherent for a 16K machine of this size, particularly given the large build volume and metal chassis. You will need to budget for resin and, ideally, a washing and curing station as well as a screen protector, accessories the brand recommends for a clean start.
Software and ecosystem
The Revo 16K uses ChiTuBox for file preparation, a slicer most resin users already know, and remains compatible with the main 405 nm UV resins on the market. The Phrozen GO app completes the package for remote monitoring. To get the most from its 14 x 19 µm pixels, Phrozen recommends its own resins, including Aqua Hyperfine for detail, AnyCast for castable jewelry and RPG for miniatures, but there is no obligation to stay within the brand’s ecosystem.
So, is this Phrozen Sonic Mighty Revo 16K interesting?
On paper, the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K has the ingredients of a strong update: a finer 16K screen, a large volume with comfortable height, a serious metal frame and welcome safeguards such as chamber heating and dual error detection. For a miniature studio, a jewelry creator or a small-batch workshop, it has plenty of appeal, especially as the Phrozen ecosystem of resins, app and accessories is already well established.
It still needs to prove itself in use, because the real fineness of 16K across a range of prints, the consistency of the heater and the life of the screen are things a specification sheet alone cannot settle. I hope to have the chance to test it one day. In the meantime, on paper, Phrozen has created a desktop resin printer that clearly deserves attention.
