The Segway Ninebot F3 Pro E is an urban electric scooter built around comfort and control rather than minimum weight. It combines front hydraulic suspension, a rear swingarm, disc braking at both ends and a 1,200W peak rear motor, with a European road speed of 25 km/h and launch pricing around €649.
Its 477Wh battery and connected TFT display place it above basic commuter models. The key question is not whether it can reach Segway’s 70 km headline, but which test speed produced that figure.

Dual suspension and two disc brakes
The front hydraulic fork and rear elastomer swingarm are designed to isolate broken asphalt, joints and cobbles. The F3 Pro E also uses 10-inch self-sealing tubeless tyres. This combination should provide more comfort than a rigid commuter scooter without moving to the mass of a large dual-motor model.
Unlike the regular F3 E, the Pro adds a rear disc brake to the front disc and electronic braking system. Traction control can limit wheelspin on low-grip surfaces. These aids improve control, but tyre condition and braking distance still matter in rain.
Motor and honest range figures
Segway specifies 550W nominal and 1,200W maximum rear-wheel power, with climbing capability around 24 percent under its test conditions. The 477Wh battery delivers two official range figures: approximately 70 km at 15 km/h and 50 km at 25 km/h.
That distinction should be visible in any purchase decision. Owner reports often describe substantially less than 50 km in cold weather, Sport mode or hilly riding. The eight-hour standard charge also means that frequent long-distance users need access to overnight charging.

Screen, security and price
The TFT display works with the Segway Mobility app and can show navigation prompts, ride data and settings. Apple Find My compatibility, indicators, an alarm and proximity unlocking improve day-to-day convenience, although none replaces a strong physical lock.
The F3 Pro E launched around €649 and has appeared closer to €599 during promotions. That puts it near lighter scooters with less suspension and larger long-range models with more weight. Independent French testing supports its comfort-focused positioning, while range remains highly dependent on how it is ridden.

French road requirements
In France, public-road electric scooters must be limited by design to 25 km/h. Civil-liability insurance is mandatory, riders must be at least 14, and local circulation rules apply. Derestricting the scooter invalidates its public-road status.
The F3 Pro E is a convincing urban choice when suspension, braking and a polished connected ecosystem matter more than carrying it up several flights of stairs. Its range claims are credible only when quoted with the associated speed.
